Rebecca M. Steinberg, MD, MPH has been serving the Philadelphia Community as a Board Certified Occupational Medicine/Environmental Health specialist since 2014. She initiated her formal education at Boston University, where she received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Cardiopulmonary Science. From there she pursued a Medical Degree at Ponce School of Medicine.
Dr. Steinberg completed her Occupational Medicine/Environmental Medicine Residency in 2014 at the University of Pennsylvania. She is accredited as a board certified Physician Specialist in Occupational and Environmental Medicine by The American College of Preventive Medicine. She completed 2 years of General Surgery at both Washington Hospital and Brooklyn Hospital Centers. She also received a Master’s Degree from UCLA in Public Health while performing recruit examinations for all branches of the military to qualify for duty. Dr. Steinberg is also fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Steinberg practiced Occupational Medicine from 2008 to 2014 in the Los Angeles area. There she treated and evaluated employees of county, city, private and federal organizations. She then was employed as a panel physician for Aria-Frankford Hospital and Aria-Torresdale (i.e. Jefferson University Hospitals purchased these facilities in July, 2016) from October 2014-December 2016.
